Arriving units arrived to find a single vehicle tractor trailer rollover, with the driver pinned and an active diesel fuel leak.

Command (Chief Beach) immediately called for additional resources and Salisbury's Haz-Mat unit, as the trailer was showing a placard of 1993 which was identified as Terpines Limone.

Crews rapidly extricated the driver and transported a single occupant to PRMC, turning their attention to the large diesel fuel spill and identification of the product in the overturned tanker. Command requested a tanker task force and the foam unit from Salisbury as a precautionary measure.

Crews diked the area around the leaking diesel fuel, to stop any further run off into the nearby ditches. A foam blanket was applied to the trailer and adjacent areas to suppress any leaking vapors. MDE and Wicomico Emergency Management responded and assisted with the offloading of product and clean up of the spill.

Route 50 was shut down in both directions, while units operated on the scene for over 7 hours.
