Trash Fire Upgraded to Garage Fire - 29269 Naylor Mill Road
Saturday, July 17, 2010

At approximately 2134 hours, Engine 16 was alerted for a reported outside fire, possibly trash. On arrival, they found a working garage fire and requested an upgrade to a first alarm assignment. AC 1, (Records), arrived and assumed command with a working fire in the rear. The crew of Engine 16 stretched a 150 foot 1 3/4 line to the structure. A good portion of the fire was knocked down, but increased again with less than a 1/4 tank of water left. Tanker 74 arrived on scene and supplied Engine 16. Three units from 74 were utilized on scene for water and manpower. The cause was believed to have been electrical. PM 2 assisted with suppression and PM 1 provided rehab with drinks.
