After The Fire Sweep of Pond Street/Buena Vista Avenue Area
Friday, December 27, 2013

The Salisbury Fire Department has a long-standing program whereby its members will saturate a neighborhood after it has been impacted by a fire, in an effort to make sure there are working smoke alarms in each home in the neighborhood.  That tradition continued today as a fire in the Pond Street/Buena Vista Avenue area unfortunately damaged a home in that neighborhood yesterday.  A total of 28 homes were visited, with 11 occupants granting access to the fire department in order to check for working smoke alarms.  A total of 4 new smoke alarms were installed as well as 4 dead or dying batteries replaced.
