Salisbury Fire Department

At 1600hours stations 3, 1 and 16 were alerted for a house fire in the 100 block of Moore Ave., Fruitland. Salisbury Truck 1 arrived and confirmed a working house fire. The truck crew stretched an initial attack line through the front door quickly knocking down the fire in the living area. Engine 302 arrived and pulled a 2nd line and to extinguish the fire that had extended to the attic. The crew from truck 1 made a primary search of the building with negative results. Crews remained on scene for some time performing overhaul. The fire is being investigated by the Maryland State Fire Marshals Office.
