Salisbury Runs 2nd Fire Of The Day - 1501 South Division St.

August 10, 2012 - At 2216hrs Wicomico Central alerted Salisbury Station 1, 16 and Fruitland Station 3 for a reported structure fire at 1501 South Division St. in Salisbury. As units responded, Wicomico Central provided an immediate update with multiple calls reporting a working fire. Asst. Chief Danny Long arrived on the scene within minutes confirming a working from side A with all occupants out of the dwelling. Engine 16 arrived moments after lying from the nearest hydrant and placing a single 1 ¾” line in service. With entry made from the front of the structure the crew of Engine 16 made a quick knock on the fire. Units remained on scene for investigation and overhaul, Investigation by the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s office concluded that the resident of the home fell asleep with food on the stove.
