Tuesday, August 17, 2010

Salisbury Fire Department Station 2 and Station 6 EMS were alerted for an MVC with injuries at the intersection of Parker Road and Phillip Morris Drive just after 6 pm. Initial reports indicated one patient. Engine 2 arrived on location of a two vehicle MVC with one vehicle into a pole, with front end intrusion, and another into a nearby yard with approximately 12 inches of intrusion on the driver's side "A Post." Patient assessments indicated two priority 1 patients. The crew of Engine 2 initiated patient care. A-1 and PM B-6 arrived on location just after. A quick door pop was necessary to extricate the patient with intrusion into the "A Post" of their vehicle. All patients were transported to PRMC ER for treatment. The scene was turned over to MSP and Engine 2 returned to service without incident. Photos by: Cliff Shockley Units: E2, A1, PM16-1, PMB-6
